Taking place in a time long past, an old man in Baranasi has two daughters named Khanittha and Khantthi. Khanittha is far more beautiful than her younger sister. Whenever they go anywhere together, men only show interest in Khanittha, causing Khanitthi to much loathe and envy her own older sister. Wealthy young Bhatika has fallen very much in love with her. When he asks Khanittha to be his wife, Khanitthi doesn’t allow it and begs her father to have Khanitthi herself become Bhatika’s wife as well.
